In the year 1993 the foundation has bought 1.6 ha of land in the out-skirts of Iquitos, a former chicken-farm. Four families or modulo's, each family of 10 children with a mother or "nana", are housed in the former farmhouse and a separate building. In 2003 an extra building, "Casa Johana", was constructed for children in their last resident year who are preparing for leaving the children's home and enjoy more own responsibility
and independence. The land is completely walled in for security reasons, mainly to protect against theft. On it are multifunctional concrete sports grounds, a kitchen garden for the children, many fruit-trees and a nursery for chickens, dugs and guinea-pigs. The children assist in the garden.
The personnel counts a director, three or four nana's, one parttime social worker for coaching the elder non-resident children, 1.5 cook, 3 workers for the maintenance of land and buildings and a night-watchman.
